A very comfortable, cozy place to stay. Great value and service.

I always have good luck with them, and I like their offering of breakfast, on site, so I am not in rush hour, trying to find a place to eat.

A great place to stay-sign up for Club Carlson and you can earn free nights or other awards.

It's not the fanciest place, and there are cheaper local options. However, then you are traveling on business or vacation, you want something predictable to go to bet to. That is why I go here even though I am not into the country theme. The self serve waffles are clever and tasty.

As a frequent business traveler, I typically stay at Fairfield Inn's or Courtyard's to bulk up on my Marriott points. However, if I stay in a location without either of those two options, I will stay at a Country Inn from time-to-time. All I can say is that I must always be hitting the old properties, because the ones I have stayed at bear no resemblence to the description give in this article. Most have been a tad on the dreary side, and remind me of a slightly upscale Super 8.......:(

It's a good place and the updates have definitely put it into a higher level of hotel that probably is better for the chain too. And I like how they're so eager to hand out Club Carlson points... I mattress run at $70 hotels in MN and get free nights at $500 hotels in Europe. Win.

They were headed down the path of other Carlson chains, over-promise and under-deliver, but they seem be improving. I don't need fancy, but I want a comfortable bed with linens and towels that are functional, not threadbare. Same with breakfast, doesn't have to be fancy, but something more than the 20 for a dollar bagels and generic fruit loops.
