"You aren't going to sit a guy just because he's 0 for 12," Ryan said. No, Mr. Ryan, you and Mr. Gardenhire won't, but anyone else would.

the worst part of this whole nishioka business is that the twins were finally playing well with late-inning rallies and winning streaks with clutch hitting and home runs and stealing bases and rising in the standings and, most of all, winning back the fans' excitement and enthusiasm, and then this sad 'clown act' comes to town and, all of a sudden, reminds us of how really bad these last two years of minnesota baseball have been....

Don't hate on him. He's bad, we all know it. He'll be gone soon.

If Nishi comes back next year, the Twins owe him a boatload of cash. If he can be shamed into going home and not coming back (on accounta he can't play the game right to fit in at the MLB level), that'll save quite a bit of money for signing real talent. Leave him out there, let him stink up the joint for the rest of the season. He even said something in spring training to the effect that he'd slink off home and breach the contract to save the team some dough (and himself some face) if he didn't catch on this season. Make him play. It's really not his fault...it's the scouts who signed him.

Then one can assume that when Plouffe's back, Nishi will be gone? He's way overmatched at this level.

Personally his being here is helping me. Early on I had a bet the Twins would lose 102 games. When they brought up enough good guys to win I knew I was in trouble but Nishi will help me out Big Time! Keep him.

Again it's typical of Twins management. Ryan brings up Nishi and says Gardy doesn't have to play him? Gardy says you don't bring up a guy to sit? Both pass the blame. Pohlads, take some responsibility for money the public spent on your stadium and clean house, then buy some pitching for next year!

The best part was after he lost the ball in the sun and it landed on the ground instead of chasing after it,he turns and starts to walk away from the ball lololol

Seriously??? They can't be expecting us to believe that they really think he belongs on a major league roster. I would normally not really care which fringe utility player they keep but this guy CAN'T be better than the other players on the AAA, AA, and A teams. There is obviously a contractual reason they are doing this and they are not disclosing it. They got rid of Punto and he is ten times the player that Nishioka is - this smells like Ryan and Gardenhire are being forced to keep him. They can't seriously be "shopping" him to other teams?? If anything, he is providing Sports Center with all kinds of "Blooper" footage.

Just when you think things can't get more "Hicksville" in Twinsville they always do. This soap opera over Nishi has moved way past the rerun stage. I can't imagine Joe Girardi, Mike Scioscia or even Jim Leyland pulling the pulling the crap Gardo does or even putting up with the nonsense from Ryan on whose to blame for putting him in the line-up. If the sole intention is to win ballgames...then there should be no discussion on who's to play everyday..you put your best line-up out there. The paying fans deserve nothing less.
