Ford Center enters a new, green chapter

The historic building in downtown Minneapolis has been preserved and improved for prime office space.

Some of your facts are incorrect. In 1912, Ford Motor Company set up an assembly operation in a warehouse 616 South Third Street. Construction of the Ford branch assembly plant at 450 5th Street North (now known as the Ford Center and the subject of the article) was actually completed in 1914 and the first Model T assembled at the plant was also in 1914, not 1912 as stated in the article. The building was one of many "cookie cutter" designed branch assembly plants Ford Motor Company built around the U.S.
