I'd like to know micro/craft marketshares in the area. It seems to be growing rapidly, perhaps all the way up to ten percent now, but I have no way of knowing.

South Mpls has it's own brew pub in the making. From the looks of it the enterprise on 38th St. not far from the light rail should be ready for another on site brewery/pub soon

These folks are awesome. They advance everything craft brewing is meant to be - community, quality and passion. I can't wait to come check out the new place!

I just wish they would produce something other than what everyone else is already doing. Pale Ales and IPAs are all the rage now, but tell me the breweries producing great amber and brown (not porter or stouts) ales.

Canning? No one who really loves beer drinks it out of a can.

type11 - no you don't drink it out of a can, you pour it from the can in to a glass... then you can get the full aroma with every sip.

The can preserves the flavor of the beer best, light destroys flavor through glass bottles.

type11 - actually cans are the preferred container. No light to skunk the beer, lighter, easier to transport, stack, etc. Just don't drink from the can. Pour into a glass to release the aromas and also so you can see the beautiful beer! Cheers!
