always funny to see how we Minnesotans love to see a so called Minnesota connection. Has this girl even been in the state since here dad moved to pitch for the Mets?

I've lived in Minnesota for 20 years after growing up in a NJ suburb of NYC and then living in Boston for 6 years. I'm still amused by the 'one of us' obsession that Minnesotans have. It definitely wreaks of an inferiority complex and I wish the media could just drop it already. We're better than that.

She was born in Mpls and I know for a fact that her mother is a Twin Cities native. (I know someone who was a bridesmaid at Frank and Kathy Viola's wedding) That does make her "one of us". And I point that out with pride.(no inferiority whatsoever)

What is wrong with liking to claim our "own" or being proud of being a Minnesotan. Minnesota is a good place to be from, whether raised here or not, there are a lot of good people from here, no inferiority complex needed. I will always be proud to claim Minnesota as home, and have no problems being provincial. Good Luck Brittany Viola, may your dives have the sweet music that your Dad's change-up did. Go for the gold, kid
