Soon-to-be-Timberwolf Kirilenko had 19 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, three steals and three blocks in an 83-74 victory over Lithuania, playing with the kind of passion Americans rarely see out of their men's Olympic team.

I watched the game. AK was outstanding, Shved was brutal. Would much rather have Barbosa.....Kaaaaaaahn!!

I can't wait for this team to be assembled and running this season. It will be so much fun to watch all of these players work under Aldeman's system. I think we will make the playoff as 5-7 seed. We are better then 8 seed all day. GO WOLVES! GRRRRRRRR

The international studs on the Wolves are awesome. And it can't hurt the fan base either, can it? I mean, we have the Russian michael jordan. Russia is 150 million people. Spaniards know rubio. they're 40 million. But all in all, the Western conference has some pretty darn good teams: OKC will be great with Durant getting even better. San Antonio might even be better with their own improvements. LAL will be better with their improvements. LAC have Griffin and Chris Paul playing a whole year together this time; they should be better. Memphis, Denver and Dallas all are playoff quality teams too. Not sure if the wolves can squeak in better seeded than 7 or 8. Hopefully. If they were in the East, it'd be a given.

Shved was playing great at the beginning of of the Olympics, but has struggled the past few games as the better teams have adapted to stop him. It's good he's going through this now, because he'll be more prepared when he plays for the Wolves. Russia's last two opponents, Lithuania and Spain, are strong defensive teams-- Lithuania shut down Kobe and Spain held France to 33% shooting.

I'm glad we ended up with Kirilenko and not the rabbit-punch Frenchman
