In the NFL a team must have quality down field receivers with size, or they won't win....with this bunch, the Vikings are doomed!

It sounds like Arceneaux has a chance. If they were to cut any of the others, I wonder if anyone would pick them up.

We're 1 Harvin migrane away from Ponder throwing to basically nobody the first 3 weeks anyways. I'm glad the Vikings waited till the 4th round to draft a WR.

I hope either Burton or Arceneaux make it. Burton is young and willing. Arceneaux has the elite speed. Both have the abilities ... but can they use it effectively at this level?. Jenkins is a great receiver but seems to be losing his edge.

Probably not the best sign when a WR learning to block better is a reason for keeping him on the team.

All receivers coming into the NFL have to learn to block better or unless they are elite they don't play. No different than any other advancement from one level to the next.

soiuxchamp: You are glad the Vikings waited till the 4th round to drafta wide receiver? ..... The Vikings need to get 2 great wide receivers before they are a threat to win any games. This and the next 2 years are basically rebuilding years. A couple of years to go out and have some fun knowing we won't be challenging for anything. Let the Bears and Lions and Packees beat up on each other. We may even beat the Packees, we should have last year in the first game we played them. We should have the last 2 years drafted the weapons first. Get the wide receivers, then could have waited to get the Qb via free agency or when a possible franchise QB out there comes along. Too bad though most great franchise college qbs are so costly. Tom Brady was the exception, no one thought he would become one of the all time best. Kurt Warner was another great qb but he had 3 great wide outs that made him great. Along with Marshall Faulk. Rogers wouldn't be half as good as he is if he didn't have all the slightly above average receivers he has. If Peterson returns to form without re injury and we some how can pick up a wide out on waivers that is a shock to be on waivers and he turns out to be great then we may win a couple games this year. But with only Harvin as a threat we are in for a 3-10 year again.

So it's VERY possible that both fourth round receivers won't make the team. I know it's 20-20 hindsight, but maaaaybe we should of traded thos to 4th rounders and moved up and got a REAL receiver in the draft? It seems to me that we're putting alot of focus on Simpson who hasn't exactly been a standout receiver either :-P RUN TOBY, RUNNNNN!!
