Nice story. Let's hope it plays out well for Issac once the season starts. "Ya gotta wonna", and it looks like he's got that down cold. Go Gophs.

FINALLY. A Coach at the U that sees the additional value of having local players with the extra passion to play for the team the grew up rooting for. The dismissive attitude of former Gopher football coaches and even current baskeball coach towards local talent has been absurd.

Hopefully, there'll be no more looking past Minnesota kids with sub 4.4 40 times, and give scholarships to out-of-state kids, apparently, just because they are from out-of-state, and other schools WERE looking at them. There are 100s of kids that dream of playing at Minnesota, but only a few have the tools this kid has. While I don't know his whole story, I bet he always thought he was good enough to play in the Big Ten.
