I simply don't get it. I spent 4 years in the Regular Army and 2 in the Reserves and was never able to touch a gun without some kind of supervision or another but we want to give ever moron in the country the opprotunity to buy as many assault riffles as they choose with no license or training. What!!!???

Obama has at least two wars running right now but the media isn't reporting the deaths and maimings of those inititatives at all now that election season is approaching. If you listen to the press all we hear is silence.

When will the people of this country, thus their elected politicians, wake up to the fact that guns need to be strictly regulated and assault and automatic rifles have no place in 21st century America.

Well Richie, the only war that anyone else started is Afghanistan. Who started droning American citizens in Yemen? Who had a 16 year old American citizen killed? Oh that was probably Bush's fault too huh?

usmc1127 - Well Richie, the only war that anyone else started is Afghanistan. ---------- I could have sworn Bush started a war in Iraq at about the same time. Go figure.

Just a few stats on gun violence in the USA. The U.S. gun homicide rate is 20 times the combined rate of other western nations. When you look at the number of murders in the United States you had 9,500 people murdered. Then look around the world, … large countries, the U.K., Germany, Japan, had 200 or less killed in a year. Canada had 170 gun deaths the same year. Since the introduction of stricter gun laws in 1991 in Canada, there has been a 65 per cent reduction in homicides by long guns,The reduction in homicides involving any type of firearm was 37 per cent. When will we wake up and start restricting morons with guns.
