I was at a Twins game sitting on the third base side. Corey Koskie was playing third, and caught a foul pop to end the inning. He looked up in the stands and saw a young boy and threw the ball to him underhanded. A grown man stepped in the way, caught the ball and sat down. Koskie stared at him, and pointed to the kid. After a few seconds, the man gave the ball to the kid. I always liked Corey Koskie.

In 2009 I had a whiplash and concussion and followed Corey's story quite a bit. The fact he was able to get through the injury as well as identifying the whiplash helped me to get through the tough times. Very happy for him and his family that he can be healthy!

I remember when he left for Toronto he took out a full-page ad in the Strib thanking the fans. Corey is clean.

Sorry for the reality check here, but my experience with Cory as a coach of an opposition LL team is less that what other posters here have added, nor what the author describes. He was loud-mouthed and a bit cocky on the field; so it wasn't surprising to see the parents of his team virtually silent the whole game. Travel to Loretto next spring and see for yourself. No, not a sore loser, we split games with him this past year.

jayzee.....Corey is not LOUD mouthed at all. I think you may have mistaken him for someone else. He coaches from the bench and is not on the field during the game. I would invite everyone out to see him coach. Sorry someone from the coaching staff may have come across that way but you definitely have the wrong guy!!! Sad you want to come on here just to make him look bad.
