Well it doesn't matter. Childs' job won't be there. The vikings cut/fired him for getting injured on the job. Classy move.

@ Bob_Nelson. 1) putting a player on waivers is a precursor to IR. The Vikings did the same thing with Nick Taylor; it’s a preliminary step. 2) News flash - the NFL is a business. Go find something else to be cynical about. Good luck Childs.

instead of worrying about D'Imperio getting come carries, why don't you teach him to pick up the blitz. He missed more blocks last year that cost the Vikes downs and distance. I thought he had a terrible year.

Appears, Greg might be the ONLY one who's optimistic about his return. I mean, let's be honest. 3 major knee surgeries in 2 years and he has YET to play 1 NFL game.

Nobody remembers Gary Baxter? He tore both patellar tendons as a DB for the Cleveland Browns. Baxter never was able to overcome his devastating injury. The odds are really stacked against Childs.

Terry Allen ex-Vikes RB, came back from 2 different knee surgeries (ACL) to have a 8600 yards+ rushing career. Good luck to Childs

Patellar tendon injuries cannot be compared the ACL surgery Terry Allen had. From my understanding, you can't even walk if your patellar tendon is fully detached. It's a sad end to Child's career but the Vikings are realistic by cutting him. Greg Childs would be a very long-shot to recover and would potentially tie up a roster spot.
