It's OK to ogle the world's best bods -- male or female -- during the Olympics.

From what I understand the athletes themselves have a good time outside the competition.

Absolutely spot on. One reason I started competing in triathlons in 2000, when I was in my early 20's, was I didn't want to be in my 30's and fat. Not only did it work, but after a lot of racing, I lost any worry about people staring at me in Lycra or less. You end up being half naked on so many weird occasions in public that it becomes normal. Now that I'm older guy and married, I am still active, but I definitely look back at my old pictures, and say, "Wow! Not sure if I could work that hard again". I loved every minute of being oogled. The girls certainly weren't looking at my face much, as that would not be my best feature, so it was my best chance for attention. These athletes work so hard, and almost every single one will enjoy the attention greatly.

Gotta love the gymnasts (over 18 ones, at least)!

How about less emphasis on their bodies, their hairstyle, the size of their feet, and more on the feats they accomplish. Isn't that what the Olympics supposed to be about? I think, for starters, the Olympic Committee needs to put a stop to the practice of taking off clothing and waving or throwing it around after a win. It's childish and undignified for national representatives to engage in this kind of exhibitionism.
