Hope springs eternal in Sid's mind. I guess that's not a bad way to go around in life.

I think Kill will have a very successful year. I think we need to keep in mind our goal is not to have a football empire such as Penn State. Our goal is to play good football and have our players graduate from college and go on to successful lives. Why are some Minnesota fans so negative? Just enjoy life. Last year I had a great time at Michigan even though we lost 55-0. The fans were great and one old timer from Michigan told me he was present when Paul Giel impressed the fans so much he got a standing ovation. Can't we have some fun and community?

Let's see if I understand this: the U of M is a 150 year old institution; it has the 4th largest student enrollment in the US, we have competed in football 130 years, we have a $2 million/yr. Head Coach and we play in a new $300 million stadium. Now Sid wants us to open a bottle of champaigne and celebrate the Gophers recruiting a handful of junior college players. This is so sad.

the Tubby Smith contract extension is the stupidest move in history. Tubby has done nothing since he got here. What a joke.

LOL Read the comments of garyhanson and guth together. We're spending millions and millions, then we're "negative" if we ask for anything above mediocrity. Only in Minnesota!!
