it took 100 games to get there, but these twins' players finally seem to have come together and are now playing some of the best and most exciting baseball in the league. i would hope that mr. ryan will try to keep this team together, move capps and pavano, add a couple good pitchers in the off season, and get ready to rumble with chicago and detroit....

The real question is, how much more will jimmy cut the payroll? The stands are still full, the ten dollar cokes are still being sold, and life in the mansion is good for the pohlads.

Never trade after July 31; you'll get nothing in return 90% of the time. Twins are playing well, keep them together. Trading Span, Morneau, or Willingham, will not help this team get better. If you're going to trade someone, trade Pavano or Capps.

The only question I have now is if next year's payroll will exceed the payroll of the team's final year in the Metrodome. Glad that new stadium is helping the Twins stay competitive.
