I'm optimistic about Gopher football this year, for some reason. Maybe it's Kill's grounded optimism, maybe it's that his coaching staff is extremely loyal, but I'd like to believe this program has turned some sort of corner to, at the very least, respectability. Go Gophers!

Remember the 1999 season: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1999_NCAA_Division_I_FBS_football_rankings Minnesota was ranked #12 in the AP and #13 in the BCS - at the END of the regular season when all of the teams have proven their worth. It will happen here again.
