Wow Dennis, somebody got up on the wrong side of the feathered bed.... Going after Lillie? He's in the minority, how could he possibly stop this? And bringing up Wagenius and Hansen? Again, they are in the minority and/or not even on the LSOHC. What's your end game? Are Gary Leaf and Wayne LaPierre still giving you your marching orders? I don't have a problem with legislators saying "don't pay more than retail."

This isn't a case of legislators saying don't pay more than retail. Legislators are unhappy that voters took this money out of the Legislature's hands and committed to conservation. This deprives the legislators of control and access to money, things they cannot abide regardless of their party allegiance.

Am I doing the math right, 2,000 acres for $14 million or $7,000 per acre? Okay, even if it is 2,000 acres for $11 million, it is still $5,500 per acre. Are these folks nuts, or is it just 'cuz it is someone elses money? By the way, even at $5,500 per acre, give me a call - I've got 81 acres for you.

markythom You have 81 acres for yourself. The 2000 acres will be for everyone now and in the future.
