The football team is so much better, academically and athletically. Coaching continuity is one important reason.

Sure hope you're right, Sid. But as Kill said, it's all about what the team does on the field. We'll see what can be said as fact, rather than speculation, in about 120 days. Go Gophs.

Ditto to dewarf. I am optimistic, but the proof will be in the first 6 games of the year. If the team executes and does not make dumb mistakes, 6-0 out of the chute is a real possibility.

I believe in Jerry Kill. I didn't believe in Tim Brewster or Glen Mason even despite his modest success. I believe more and more prospective student/players will want to be part of his team. He's the rare kind of man that has that quality about him that makes you strive to be better. Now if only we could find a mascot that instills a modicum of respect and not derision( a rodent?) we'd be making real progress.

I think Coach Kill will do a great job here. He really seems like the kind of guy that todays kids would work their butts off for. He appears to be a real stand up guy, shoulders the responsibility, doesn't side step when things don't go so well and has great vision and knowledge of the game. I am very happy he is here....at first I had my doubts. Not anymore. I wish him the very best!

Didn't we read this exact same story after Browbeater Brew was hired? It will be the same story when the next guy comes in and the next guy, etc. Oh, but wait! The Tubby is playing Duke this year!

OMG...so far Kill has done nothing. The team has been horrible. Sid...you were shocked when Brewster was let go and kept saying what a wonderful job Brewster did. Now you are saying Brewster left the cupboard bare and Kill is doing a great job. What happens when Kill is gone and the next sucker takes on the head coaching job. My guess is that you will say Kill left the program in shambles as well. Sorry, but when you contradict yourself you lose credibility.
