Wimmers - Gee, didn't see that coming

Why does it seem that the Twins are the only organization that thinks they can rest and rehab a ligament tear? Every time it ends up with surgery. Now Wimmers will miss two years instead of one.

Can't anyone in this organization keep pitchers healthy? Or for that matter any player? It seems anyone with any talent at all ends up injured! I can understand injuries happen, but it seems an unusually large number of them happen to Twins players from just throwing the ball or swinging a bat or running the bases!

The Twins are very unlucky with injuries, or very bad evaluators, coaches, trainers and instructors. Either way, the resulting product is just plain bad... If this happens to all teams, how in the world did MLB maintain full rosters of capable pitchers prior to the invention of TJ? .... So Butera will catch when pitchers need help??? Ronnie, just WHAT are you trying to say about your all-star catcher? Or is this just a facade you put up to justify MLB roles for your AAA buddies?

What's with this team? Another TJ? It's not like the Twins push their young pitchers quickly or anything. They keep them in the minors forever, limit their pitch counts at every level, and shut guys down the minute they are sore. All this, yet more TJ surguries than most organizations?

Ya think? I thought elbow ligament tears went away if you just ignored them long enough.

We are the Minnesota Tommy Johnnies. Worst medical staff in the majors.

Well at least Wimmers is still young and talented enough to come back and hopefully contribute to the Twins in the future. This team doesn't seem to be planning on competing for some time anyway.
