It seems to me when a basketball team wins a game by 47 points it was not close. I am not interested what the score was in the first few minutes or even at the half. I think we need to always look at the final score...that is all that matters. I actually so a blog today complaining that the U.S. team should be ashamed of not making the point spread today...it was 54 points! Now what do you think the press would have said if they won by 54 or more points...so coach, how could you so embarrass this poor team. I don't think the U.S. team could win today no matter what they did. I think it is great that they scored so many points from the bench...they will need them in the closer games, right? This whole business of expectations by writers is annoying at best and dangerous at worst. Let's look at the entire game, not parts of the game.
