That great "flushing" sound was A. J. going from a first-inning, three-run homer to a ninth-inning throwing error that helped lead to the Twins' 7-6 win. Welcome back, Danny V. and wish you and your winning attitude were still here, A.J. Nice win, Twins!

"BREAK UP THOSE TWINKIES!" BREAK UP THOSE TWINKIES! THEY’VE WON 4 IN A ROW. 3 WINS OVER OUR INDIANS, THEN BEAT THE SOX, YOU KNOW. HOWEVER, SINCE MINNESOTA, IS TOO FAR BACK TO DATE. THEY WON’T MAKE THE PLAYOFFS, FOR THEM IT IS TOO LATE. ANYWAY, CONCERNING TONIGHT’S GAME, A 4 RUN LEAD WAS LOST. QUINTANA COULDN’T HOLD IT, COULDN’T HOLD IT AT ANY COST. BUT DETROIT WAS BEATEN ALSO, AND CLEVELAND DIDN’T PLAY. CHI-TOWNS LEADS THE CENTRAL, FOR NOW THINGS ARE OKAY. GOD BLESS SONINO JOHN PAUL SCARDELLETTI - A CHRISTIAN

great first-inning comeback and total team win! and enough with the trading, buy another good pitcher or two for next year and this team can be a contender....

I'm happy for the win against the dreaded ChiSox, but I hope the fans are classy enough not to boo Liriano tomorrow. Have to admit I giggled when AJ threw the ball away after hitting a 3-run tater, though. And I like him.

Valencia's two hits were solid, which was amazing. He still looks lost at the plate, but he got it done. Morneau looks like he's always guessing, and can they please work on Mauer's uppercut? How many times have we seen him dink the ball to an infielder? So glad to see Carroll and Dozier combine to win at the end. They're two guys who play their hearts out and look like they're having fun.

There's a few guys on the Sux to boo besides Frankie. For starters, AJ, Hawk Harreldson, Ed Farmer, Paul Kanerko, their fans. Chicago arrogance exemplified. And what pray tell do you White Sux fans have to show for it? One World Series win in how many years?

I won't boo Konerko. Like Thome he is one of the few players over the years I wish the Twins had gone out and gotten. I'm with you on the rest though.

Morneau looks like he is guessing LOL. I hate to break it to you genius but hitters actually do guess what kind of pitch is coming and adjust accordingly. Have you ever hit a baseball before? But thanks for the advice on teaching Mauer how to hit a ball champ we'll take that seriously. --Gardy

And the twins celebrated at the end of the game like they just won the world series, oh wait, that WAS their world series!!

Denard is the best - he and Willingham were the only bright spots for the first third of the year. The Twins should hang onto him.
