What a stunning report, Pam. It could have been just a recital of difficulties, but your probe into how people are making heroic recoveries ("moving on" as the previous commenter put it) from crushing trauma is not only inspirational, but instructive to all of us. It also takes its place alongside current stories of survivors of war and child abuse, helping us appreciate the critical importance of mental health services — as well as the wisdom my late husband liked to quote: "Be kind. Everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle." Thanks.

My husband drove the pickup in your video. He was glad that he was able to help the victims by getting to them and getting them to the hospital. We are glad to see that you are better.
