This is a very big day for the whole Kalil family ! I'll help Matt write the full page ad for the Strib : Why the Minnesota Vikings will win the Super Bowl ! Because we have to. For eighteen, oops, I mean 51 years, we've wanted hoped and tried. BUT NO MORE ! We've seen two decades, oops, damit, FIVE decades of seasons, bad and good, but never greatness. But at the end of this year, we'll see VICTORY! One hundred percent sterling silver victory. The LOMBARDI TROPHY ! ! ! And it reads MINNESOTA VIKINGS - SUPER BOWL XLVII CHAMPIONS ! ! ! Sincerely !

The Packers signed their last draft pick on 5/23. The vikings are over 2 months behind and can never catch up. The vikings are unlikely to even catch up to the Twins .408 winning percentage. They would have to more than double their .187 win percentage of last season.

Let's see--the Vikings have been in training camp for, what now, fifteen minutes? And already--according to the previous posts--they've already screwed up and will be pathetic from here on out. Matt's brother takes out a full page ad and shows his enthusiasm and desire to succeed with his young team. And the goal, of course, is a Super Bowl. I'll bet his younger brother who just signed a contract will have the same enthusiasm. From what I've seen that strong trait runs in the family. And, as far as the Viking comparison to Green Bay, everyone I've talked to has said the same thing; the Packers are, far and away, the BEST team that didn't win the Super Bowl last year! Makes me want to buy a few shares of that worthless stock they continue to pedal to their faithful...

@kennyrogers - I've read your posts for a while. I may not agree with them alot, but they're always witty and I get a kick out of them. That being said, why are you copy/pasting the same stuff over and over today? It's like reading "Bizzaro Sid" articles.

The Vikings last year finished 3-13. 2012 they will be about the same, for the first time in 25 years I have very little interest in them or the NFL. I will predict that Ponder will be a total bust, Peterson , his best days are long gone, Fraizer will be fired. Maybe watching paint dry will not be so boring compared to watching the Vikings.

Whoever said that hope springs eternal apparently never met a Viking "fan".

What I haven't heard any talk of this offseason is what will happen when Ponder struggles for the first 4-5 games? No one is talking about Webb "competing" for the starting job and this is freaking ridiculous. I would've already started the guy and put Ponder on the bench based on PERFORMANCE!!! But of course, good old Rick Spielmann has to try and justify his pick instead of doing what is best for the football team and WINNING. I'm not sure why he gets a free pass on a team that hasn't made the playoffs in three years. BS!!!!

I'm still not understanding how Speilmann/Frasier get a pass on this team being so pathetic. Not to mention they had an opportunity to get RGIII or Luck and they decided to actually try and win a game (because Webb played QB) and blew it for the franchise. Now we are stuck with FREAKING PONDER! Now Ricky gets to use the "rebuilding" ticket for the next three years when other teams are able to constantly be good or at least competitive (Eagles, Steelers, Patriots, Packers, Saints etc..) for years by working FA correctly and drafting correctly. Not our guy. He calls it "rebuilding" and then hands out a 100M $ contract to a RB and PLAYS HIM in a MEANINGLESS GAME!!! WHAT THE HECK? How do you possibly keep your job????? Worst record in Vikings history and he gets promoted. LOL!!!!!
