Skinny Russian combo guard Shved realizes dream

The Timberwolves signed Alexey Shved, a 23-year-old guard from Russia, to a three-year, $10 million deal to play in the NBA this fall.

"But Shved does give coach Rick Adelman another skilled player on the perimeter." Kent, Shved is "skilled" compared to whom? The other perimeter players on the Wolves roster?

Why would we want him he has never lit up the Wolves for 40 points?

I hope this kid tuns out to be a good player for the Wolves. But, I just wish the Wolves would have signed O.J. Mayo or Courtney Lee instead of Shved and Roy (who will make about $8 Million combined). It's been a decent offseason so far, but Budinger, AK47 and Mayo would have been really nice.
