i think all of us have confidence in blackie. Confident he'll give up 8 runs per game.

...from the 2009 season, when he experienced some success. So we are pinning our hopes on a pitcher who was just OK 3 years ago. OhOh! And I still don't get how a guy goes to AAA for 1 day, watches film with Cuellar, and now understands what was going wrong. Does Anderson have his pitchers watch Field of Dreams or Major League during off days?

I haven't seen Buxton in any box score for about 2 weeks. Does anyone know what is going on with our 6 million dollar man?

Let's get this straight...in 10 minutes the pitching coach in AAA figures out Blackburn's problem when...it's taken Anderson up here over two years? And then our great manager Gardo says that Blackie was able to find himself while being on the mound down there. Folks; I'm not making this up. Some professional writer has to be coming up with the scripts for Blackie and Gardo.

Twins need to move on to the Saturday game as Nick, batting practice, Blackburn gets his 200th chance to get it "right" on Friday. Never have I seen a sandlot pitcher get so many chances when his lifetime batting average against exceeds .300 .

Good to hear! Now, lets see if he can hang around tonight for at least five innings? Any bets on that?

Unreal! Blackburn watches 10 minutes of video with Cuellar and gets it figured out? What does Anderson do besides counting 100 pitches for Gardy? Rivera is sent down and works with Bruno and comes back a hitter. Maybe Gardy and his coaching staff should be sent down the rest of the season and the AAA staff up. They might get it figured out riding the bus.

He was never good. I take that back when he first came up from the minors he used to throw a pretty good breaking ball about 15 times a game and use his change up. Without those pitches he'll never be effective at the major league level again. 95% sinkers will not get the job done.

I have confidence my Grandma might have a good couple of innings against KC. I am putting my neck out and predict KC has a minimum of 4 runs against Blackie by the end of 3rd Inning. Any other predictions? I also predict Blackie is waived by the end of the year.

The Twins need to open up the "stadium revenue dividend" they talked about when stumping for a new ballpark. They don't have enough starting pitching to trade away the people they have (Liriano, Diamond and maybe Blackburn) and they have just barely enough hitting -- they need to either tear down the team (which I oppose because they HAVE the stadium and the revenue that they previously lacked when they used a rummage sale approach to building a roster) -- How about spending some of that revenue on a front line rotation anchor starter in the offseason? And then seeing if they can piece a rotation together with Liriano, Diamond (maybe Blackburn) and perhaps even Scott Baker. My 2 cents worth and I'm stickin with it. I think the Twins management (St. Peter, the Pohlad family) are way too comfortable with this situation--okay, I'll give them that nobody expected Baker to lose the entire season, and Pavano to lose 60% of it and Capps close to that number.
