If it's light rail people seem to argue that it can't fiscally sustain itself. Roads and highways are a money maker!

The so called "smart lanes" on 35W are a joke, the speed it shows is not even close to what the traffic is doing. I have no clue as to how or what determines those read outs.

Was it too much to ask to have either I-35E or I35W closed, but not both, for those of us coming home from up north?

Let's call it what it is road destruction season. I'm sick and tired of that single lane crap from Hinckley all the way to Duluth. I am a route driver and have to put up with it four nights a week. Some of the DOT's machines haven't even moved in a week. What the hell is taking them so long to get the I35 project done this summer?

One article, three different spokesmen from the DOT. Unless he left, I know there is at least one more there. How many people does it take to tell you some roads are under construction.

"The signs, known as "smart-lane" technology,..."They'll help reduce crashes and reduce road congestion," Kramascz said." ---- I seem to recall a story a few years back that said messages posted on freeway signs cause people to unnecessarily slow down, causing congestion.

There are times where I wish they'd put all the power into one project at a time and get it done fast instead of having 10 projects that seem to take forever. And why don't they work on some of these from sunrise to sunset. Waste no daylight.

3 lanes each direction. 169,100,694. i would put up with constant road work to finally see that. heck, maybe even 3 lanes in 494/plymouth area?

I will enjoy looking at the fresh asphalt on 494 in the NW metro every day as I'm stopped at the bottleneck where 3 lanes essentially become 1 - another engineering marvel.
