hey, that's all good and no problems with it. But what about all the others employed by the commission, at the facilities - will they get anything close? Or even an uninterrupted paycheck? In 5 years will he, or Dayton, or Mondale be able to walk up to one of the metrodome staff people and say "HEY ! How's it going?" Not to wish bad on anyone.

kwirky, of course not. In answer to your muse, the answer is no. Management always gets huge bonuses and severance packages while the staff will get a pink slip.

"Lester will then consult with the Mondale-led Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority..." ---- How much is his 'consulting fee?' $100k/year? $150k/year? Guaranteed 'sit on a board' jobs for his kids?

Great guy and a great GM. Surprised they didn't see the value in keeping him around longer, but life goes on I guess.

I laugh at people who post about things and people they no nothing about. They should be so lucky to have people, who know the value of the Bill Lester's of the world, say the same good things about about themselves. My guess is that the first three posters are wanna bees who could never rise above average and below. Bill you have done a great job.

Bill is one of a kind, and what an amazing job he has done. He built a terrific staff and always was on top of all issues and concerns. We are lucky he and his staff served Minneapolis and Minnesota so well! My best to him and his family!
