I had an acl transplant on my left knee a few years ago...I wish my right knee felt as good as my left does....

I don't expect to see much of Trevor Mbakwe until the B10 season starts. Would like to see him ready for the Battle 4 Atlantis (Thanksgiving weekend), but that may be too risky. The Gophs should have enough weapons to get them through the preseason in good shape and with Trevor make a solid run in conference and the Dance. Good luck to all three athletes.

Several years ago at age 49 I had ACL surgery. Despite being very athletic and active in sports, the docs questioned if it was really "worth it" for me to have the surgery. Not wanting to give up on tennis, biking, hiking, skiing, golf, etc. I insisted that they treat me like a college athlete - from using my patella tendon to the aggressive rehab protocol. All through the process I pushed the doctors and the rehab protocol and am glad I did. Bottom line: The surgery (and surgeons) are very effective but, if you are older and active, insist on having your knee fixed and then push through the rehab.

I think Ricky will see his first real action sometime in December. His minutes will be measured and limited for several months but I predict he will finish strong.

I want Ricky Rubio to play now. He is the one that won us all those games. Kevin Love was great, but when Rubio went out, he couldn't win games for us. Rubio=wins.
