Despite a relatively disappointing rookie season, there seems to be a drive to succeed in Williams that will see him being an above average player. He really didn't bloom until his last season in AZ - I hope he can bring it - that would be a bonus to a team that for now does not seem to view him as a major contributor.

He should play very well in Vegas. Kid was a late bloomer in high school; this is only going to be his fourth season of high-level ball. Just turned 21, is a hard worker who wants it...please give DWILL another season here to see what we have.

I agree. We need to keep him here to see if he is a #2 pick, at least 1 more year. You saw the potential when you picked him, unless there's a more highly rated young guy to trade for,you need to see if he can be that guy you picked at #2.

I sure hope the rumors aren't true that D-Will was offered to Portland as part of the Batum deal. That would be insane.

I am excited for D Will. I know he will be the first to tell you that he had a disappointing season last year. We saw glimpses of what he can do though, and I think small forward fits him much better than power forward (especially because we have Kevin Love). Hopefully this year he will have consistent minutes and get into a groove. Let's go DWill!

You always hope that the Wolves did not waste a draft choice on him. Hope he has a better year and deserved the right to be drafted by the Wolves. My fingers are crossed.

You can look at all the number 2 draft picks from about 2000 on a notice nobody had a stellar rookie year. That list includes Kevin Durant and Lamarcus Aldridge.

I watched him at Arizona for his two years and the improvement from his frosh year to his sophomore year was gigantic. Hopefully, with his new found focus and understanding of his role we will see the same thing happen. I hope the Wolves do not trade him as I feel he can be an impact player in the right situation.

This guy better get in shape... Paul Allen is one of the richest men in the world and is used to getting his way. He will over pay for Batum before he lets a washed up sports writer turned GM get the best of him. What kind of fool pays ten million for a washed up two guard with two bad knees. Batum signs with portland gets traded by all star break. Kahn get fired with in a year. When his contract is up Love signs in his home town of Portland... Have a nice day :)

I'm like everyone else - I'm hoping. But I'll say this ... I won't listen to the talk and the interviews, I'm just gonna watch and see with my own two eyes.
