I hate to be a bugger.. but uhhh This story is represented as if it came from the editorial staff of the Washington Post .. right down to there being no Journalist and it being ended with WASHINGTON POST -- It was actually a Ken Kessler piece.. who works for the Washington post.. but one of the reasons he felt compelled to write this was because his own staff is bringing great scrutiny on him and his reporting of the initial story. In other words.. WHY whomever 'reported this' decided to give you the impression this came from the Wapo editorial staff, rather than a suspect individual reporter.. is anyone's guess.

So, being "sole stockholder, chairman of the board, chief executive officer, and president" meant he had no say on Bain's doings? So this shows he was out of touch with what was going on and clueless as to what was going on under him.

I'm the President and CEO of my company. It's my name on the same SEC filings as Romney. If there were a lawsuit, the lawsuit would be aimed at me regardless of whether I was managerially responsible or not. If he's not "responsible" then I want whatever he's having. I cannot accept his position and the rationale he is using. He can't have it both ways.

The entire issue is "did Romney's influence affect Bain's practice of moving jobs overseas to cut costs?" Whether he retired in 1999 0r took a leave of absence is moot because he had 10 years to shape Bain's modus operandi. His staff new how he operated and what his demands were. Even without this revelation we have to believe that his was the chief influence, whether he was present or absent from Bain, over how his subordinates ran Bain. He is a bully, he is greedy and he caused many to lose their jobs so he could make millions.

According to the Boston Globe, Romney swore in front of the Ballot Law Commission in 2002(during his run for Govenor)that he still had ties to MA, that he was still attending board meetings and that his work with Bain had continued until late 2001.

If you tell a big enough lie long enough it will be perceived as truth. The leftist stragedy for National politics. Even when it has been proved to be a lie they stand by it. Decide for yourselves, don't walk hand to hand with tyrants.

I would think all "Etch-a-Sketch" has to do to prove he had no ties to Bain during that time period is to show his income tax paperwork for those years. Very simple unless he's trying to hide the truth.

Romney is probably "skirting the law" as our own MN GOP has done over the last 2 years. The Romney's, Sutton's etc ... believe they are above the law.

"But the weight of evidence suggests that Romney did in fact end active management of Bain in 1999. He stated that in a federal disclosure form he signed, under threat of criminal penalties. " I guess we should see 12 years of tax returns like his dad showed years ago. Willard isn't made of the same stuff as George Romney, apparently.
