New Zealander Hugh McCutcheon has played and coached volleyball all over the world. After coaching the U.S. women's team in London, he will land in Minneapolis with the Gophers.

Fantastic hire by Maturi and the U of M. I expect he'll be able to recruit the brightest and the best from throughout the USA to his program at The U. I look forward to him taking women's volleyball to the final level and winning a NCAA championship(s). Good luck, Hugh. And thanks, Joel.

Agree, dewarf. Great hire by Joel. It would have been easy to take the first no and move on but they stuck with it. I look forward to him following Mike Hebert, both in coaching the team and his interaction with fans. POINT U!
