I'm sure some will criticize the use of kid's clothes at the bottom of the statue, but Paterno's eyes being shut is a powerful statement. Well done.

His eyes are open, steavis - but he's not looking at what was crushed underneath him. That's the real Paterno legacy - concentrating so much on one view (that of his old friend Sandusky) that he disregarded all other views, to his ruination.
