Sommerfest's offerings a tad tepid

The Minnesota Orchestra played an all-Tchaikovsky concert at Ted Mann Hall Friday night.

Hey Larry -- did you ever consider that the renovation of OH has significantly curtailed much of the originality of programming for not only this season's Sommerfest, but also the upcoming regular season for the orchestra??? Don't be such a downer. This was a good concert. Sounds like you were having a bad day to begin with. The Capriccio was meh; Driver's sensitive interpretation was superior to that of the over-zealous Hough, and the Pathetique stands on its own as greatness, no matter how many times it's heard.
