More farmer welfare? Noway! We need to fix this subsidy mess the government started. Including oil.

When will the Strib get an outdoor columnist who actually writes about the outdoors, instead of the politics relating to the outdoors?? Tired of you, Dennis.

The farm bill is a joke. The largest part of the bill is for food stamps. Just because Anderson hunts, he believes conservatives and independents are with him. He is nothing more than another star trib agenda promoter.

Just take the money from the 80 billion dollar food stamp budget. Enough is enough. I don't care how important these programs may be to some people. We need to get used to saying NO to most of these groups seeking public funds. As a tax paying sportsman I'm getting tired of all the state/federal agencies and non-profit groups who advocate more power or more public funding for themselves by attaching the word "Conservation" to everything they do. How about a little spending conservation from now on.
