I am suspicious of figures and comments on market conditions issued by a Realtor's association. When, in the last ten years, has it NOT been a good time to buy according to them? "Prices are rising - get in before it's too late!" "Prices are falling - sellers are motivated and willing to make deals!"

@mg-29....spot on! I could not agree more. The inventory of homes are increasing which is not good for homeowners who are upside down on their mortgages. This article was good for a laugh. I expect housing pricing to continue to fall...real estate is still too expensive. Cheers!

The also fail to mention, that hud, freddy mae, freddy mac, are giving houses away to first time home buyers for 50 percent off, while restricting investor buyers..... What about the people that have been paying on their mortgage for the last 10 years, and have lost equity... First time home buyers are gaining equity....

This is funny. Every month, for years now, the realtors associations have been trying to say how great things and that everything is looking up. There is always a way to spin the facts so they look good, but the housing market is still dismal and has been for years.

Then why does my realtor keep wanting me to drop my price some more? I've dropped twice in the last year here in central Minnesota. Potential buyers want a deal on a bargain basement forclosure home. Cant blame them for that..

Being as realtor, I could not agree more. Many of the sales are investors.

This belongs in the Opinions section. It is not news. It's goal is the lead sheep off the cliff.

Please take 15 minutes to educate yourself on the root causes of the housing collapse, if you do you will see that the current president did not cause the collapse.
