If you are going to add baseball, then add 2 full size cricket fields, some rugby goals, and allow lacrosse on the fields. There is convention money in these sports.

so excited. you go! expand, expand, expand. Just add stop lights, coffee, and think beyond your game boundaries. I was really pissed when I was at Target and people who were OBVIOUSLY from the grounds were taking a break and walking down the MIDDLE of the parking lot as if the OWNED the lot. HELLO! You do not!

A major sports facility in this state that operates in the black with no state subsidy? Scandalous. (Come on, you knew someone was going to say it...)

With major league soccer likely moving to the new Vikings stadium in a few years, the National Sports Center will have to figure out some way to make up for that lost business.

I'm all for it but 105th Avenue already needs to be upgraded and certainly needs an upgrade if anything is added. It is already slow and confusing to get out of the parking lots. The lack of a road shoulder and the center "turn lane" that runs the full length of the road is just strange.

Baseball sets a bad example for kids with regard to cardiovascular health. Standing around in the dugout or standing around in the field. How healthy! In contrast, soccer, lacrosse, and rugby players RUN (a lot) and that is very healthy. Baseball is a cure for insomnia.

"cwgmpls: With major league soccer likely moving to the new Vikings stadium in a few years, the National Sports Center will have to figure out some way to make up for that lost business." ---- MLS teams do not play on artificial grass. If the MLS league decided to make an exception to their rule, the Metrodome Version 2.0 would be the very first and very last. The play is not the same. Zero international games would be held on artificial grass! And, the field is longer and wider than a football field. Would a MLS or international regulation size field fit? Not likely.

Seattle and Montreal and possibly other MSL teams play on turf. Google is good for not making an easily avoided error. Some player do not like it, but it is done already. MSL would most likely want a TCF Bank or new Vikings dome platform for entry into this market.
