The weather was on fire, but so was the fishing! I was up over the holiday week and it was a blast. That storm on monday night was out of this world. When we held our poles in the air or even a cig and they'd hiss from static electricity. The line wouldn't even go down, it'd just float eerily above the water! Thank god we got off the water before what looked like a hurricane hit. Box fish were tough to come by, but we talked to some other boats out there with a bunch, so don't let rumors deter you from a great fishing experience. We may have not brought many fish home but we did bring plenty of pictures with wide smiles and even wider walleyes. The funny part is we got a lot closer to the over slot then the under. Lots of 27, 27 1/4, 1/2, 3/4". One other tip, in our experience the early bird certainly got the worm. Have a blast on The Pond, I certainly did and will be back as soon as possible. Hopefully this week if I can convince my buddy and his boat.

All I really need to buy is a worm rig and a slip bobber rig? The companies that expolit the great outdoors for profit had me thinking I needed a $40K-truck to pull the $45K boat loaded with GPS, RADAR, Flasher, Fish finder, an extreme netman and a titnium plated nutcup! Who knew life could be so simple??!!!!
