Well if you have ever been to Chicago, I think the real debate here is the advertising. These pedicabs will get bigger, therefore more advertising. Now one could say this is good for the local economy as well as the environment. Both are great arguments, google me and comment! I do believe it will change the lanscape of Minneapolis a bit.

Seriously, is there an issue Gary Schiff doesn't have an opinion about? When is the next mayoral election?

Just more government stifling small business, if done correctly nobody would know if there are electric motors or not, get the government off of everyone's back

Wow is right. With the fast pace that the City Council does things, we might see this pedicab in about 10 years. Go council; you are so far sighted.

Dictator Schiff needs to get a life and leave his Marxist paradise ideas uncommunicated to anyone else.

If they are a "green" vehicle, who cares? This is NOT the time for the government to be choking small business even more than they are already.

Why would anyone care if a pedicab has an electric assist motor or not? Why do politicians concern themselves with such questions? If someone wants to add a soundless electric motor to their pedicab, then that should be up to that person. Only the most meddlesome of people would want to control such a decision for others.

"Seriously, is there an issue Gary Schiff doesn't have an opinion about?"----Why should he stop having, or even voicing, his opinions? This is still America, isn't it?
