This is the second death in a year on this road. Their solution is a flashing light? Great. There are "upgrades" planned for this road which include "suicide" turn lanes, undivided road with 40 - 45 mph speed (i.e., 50 - 55), stoplights for t-bone crashes, and no shoulders. The DOT design model is stuck in the past. This road is terrible and it is going to get worse with these "improvements".

Yea A flashing light? Another stop sign? Cut branches down? How about a slower speed limit, traffic calming, and making driving a motor a privilege.

This area is not thought out for bikes either. There is a bike path set back on the west side of 101 but no access to Duck Lake Trail which T's in from the east. You have to leave the bike trail and hug the guard rail on 101 with no room when trying to make a left turn onto Duck Lake Trail. It needs a major redesign with appropriate shoulders!
