The focus is on pitching at Beloit, as the Twins look to restock a barren farm system.

It could be promising. The Dodgers had a prospect in the Midwest League a few years ago, Clayton Kershaw. He was with the Great Lakes Loons. I used to cover that market as a sports anchor. He moved up the ladder quickly and made it to the big in ONE season at the age of 20...which is RARE. Clayton won the Cy Young last season. at the age of 23. Hopfully, the Twins have a Kershaw-like phenom who is waiting in the wings. We'll see. :-)

Good to see the Twins developing arms somewhere. Promote some of these guys to Rochester.

Wait, you mean we have to give some credit to Billy Smith? You know, the guy that only managed to finish with the best record or tied for the best record in the division THREE out of FOUR years as GM...right after Terry Ryan finished third two out of his last three seasons as GM? Isn't Billy a bad guy? Isn't he to blame for ALL of this? There's just no way he could've drafted any worthy pitching. No way!

A blind squirrel, bobo. But Beloit's staff doesn't help us today, the Twins have to spend some money on pitchers. Maybe $98 million like the Wild did.

Excellent article, this is the type of story I like to read; learning about less talked about players in your organization that have potential and will shape the big league team in the coming years.

I'll believe it when I see it.
