I love this! I've been looking for this type of program for years, ever since I bought a house that had 20 bikes in the garage attic. I've given away most of them over the years to people who needed transportation, but I've got 5 or 6 left. I finally know what to do with them! http://www.cyclesforchange.org/support

This is the best use of our money. Help these people out. They can learn and take care of their own needs now!

What I think Angie is doing is great. I live in Germany now but grew up in White Bear Lake. If we could adopt the same bicycle culture that they do here in Europe these type of classes would be more for fun than by necessity. They use the bicycle here in Germany and most of Europe to get to and from almost everything as a mode of transportation. And the choice of trails to ride far exceeds the choice of roads you have with a vehicle. You can bring your bicycle on a train and go anywhere in Europe. In some way it has always been a business that people can commute and travel around Europe by bicycle without the fear of motorists. They are a part of the fabric that brings together the transportation and enjoyment of getting around. I hope that when it comes time for us to move back to the US we can enjoy these same freedoms. Sometimes I think it is the reason some of us in the military decide to live in Europe.
