Jake Mauer in the dugout, Joe Mauer behind the dish. Maybe we can get the Romney boys to round out the rotation?

Great, I can see it now, they will get rid of Gardenhire and hire Jake Mauer as the new coach. Yikes!

Only got his first shot because of his younger brother. They drafted him so they could sign Joe originally and keep him from play QB in college like several other Cretin kids ending up doing (Walsh, Weinke). He should be thanking his kid brother every day for his opportunity.

You are very mistaken. Jake made it on his own and had a very good shot of making it to the bigs as a utility guy. Having played with him for 4 years in college I can speak to his talent first hand. He was legit then and has the PERFECT temperament to big a manager. Not to mention an amazing love and knowledge for the game. I understand people speak and have opinions just to have them and it's easy to rip but you're way off here. Class act and a real baseball guy rough and through. He'll make it to the bigs - mark my words.

Last thing the Twins need is another Mauer in the dugout.

A pitcher taken in the second round has an 11+ ERA. Love it. Love it...
