While Zach Parise and Ryan Suter whittled their lists -- Minnesota still is on both -- the team signed Zenon Konopka and Torrey Mitchell.

Suter is very close to signing with the Red Wings-but he and Parise won't make any announcement till Monday.

If they decide to re-sign with their current teams, fine. Just don't sign with Detroit or Pitt, disgusting.

Wild fans shouldn't hold their breath on Parise's decision.

Two sold signings by the Wild. I also think the Wild have a decent chance signing Parise. Good money, home ice, easily a playoff contending team with his presence on the ice. It could happen. Go back to N.D. Siouxchamp.

If Parise goes to Pitt he will be a smaller piece of a team that is expected to win the cup, nothing less. That kind of pressure never seems to pan out, and even if it does you only achieved what was expected of team with Crosby, Malkin, Neal, and Co. As apposed to coming here and being the star that helped form a championship team in a hockey loving state with 0 championships. We would always remember our first! At least that is what I would tell ZP. I would also ask him to give Suter a holler. :-)

I know MN Wild fans don't want to hear it, but my guess is Zach will sign with Detroit. He's stated in the past how he admires that team and how they play the game "the right way" and their puck possesion he calls it a "great style of hockey". Plus, he's also a big fan of Pavel Datsyuk, who he thinks is "awesome".

What was scary is Russo's tweet that Lou Nanne said Suter was being offered over $100m plus. If that's the case, that would be a ton of cap room locked up by the Wild on two players. (On the small chance they got both of them). We know the Wild offered Parise more than the Pens since Crosby got 8.7m. Crosby is one hit from being done, so my guess is Parise goes to Detroit (75%) or the Wild (25%).

davestrib00 - I think you are right-on - agree. Ac ouple of other very good signings however bt CF. He is actually building a team - with these two guys they may be a solid middle-of-the-pack team that makes the playoffs. Not sure that they actually scare any of the top 8 teams at this point but they are becoming solid.

Better start talking with Anaheim to trade for Ryan before he's gone. He can put the puck in the net and the Wild have an overabundance of players that look to pass first.

uran, you stated 700+ minutes twice. Do you really think he'll get that many minutes or are you trying to be funny? Fail. The question I have is if we have 8 or so prospects that are hoping to make the jump this year, (6 forwards) why are none of them going to play 4th line? Obviously we want them to get minutes and not be Sheppard. But, That means that maybe one (not counting Gran) of them makes it this year. Because where are they going to play? So, if only one makes it this year and maybe one or two next year, wouldn't it be wise to take a shot with a prospect and a pick to get Ryan? Larsson or Bulmer or both and a pick. Go get a scorer...if we don't get Parise. I wouldn't hold your breath if you think Parise is going to Detroit. Why would he play for those fossils? Old and tired. They just signed Samuelsson, more age. If they don't get ZP, the fans in Det better start to panic. Go WILD!
