Mavs turned pick 17 into picks 24, 33, & 34. Kahn gets fleeced once more. As he's busy trying to "win now" he will saddle this team with bad contracts and set the whole process back again.

as good as liriano is now pitching, gotta pull the trigger on a trade to get some talented pitching prospects. if we resign liriano next yr who knows how he will pitch out of spring training as he is so up and down. i cant see him pitching well with new york because the pressure will be too much for him.

@ tsnyder11 RE: "Mavs turned pick 17 into picks 24, 33, & 34. Kahn gets fleeced once more. What you don't realize about the NBA is picks 24/33/34 typically get you Lary/Moe/Curly. This isn't the NFL. Kahn did a good thing by getting a sure upgrade at SF and he is working to get Batum as SG. If he does, this team should get 50+ wins.

Gees we've had three traded Twins pitchers throw no-hitters this year, and the Twins are dying for pitching so let's trade away pitching. With our luck Liriano's a cinch for the Cy Young next year.

stanbobJul. 2, 12 6:34 AM

Liriano coupled with a capable pitching coach could very well be a Cy Young candidate next year.

"Royce is a guy, he's not a power forward in the typical sense" ---- So Royce is a guy. Got it. With level headed assessments like that it's no wonder McHale brought the Wolves won so many championships. Oh wait...

Alright-two wildcats on the roster-nobody works harder than former wildcats! Whens Tubby going to bring them Gophers down here and give them boys a dose of some warm sunshine?

goldengoph3rJul. 2, 12 9:26 AM

@scottz: a starting five of Love, Pek, Budinger, Rubio and Batum doesn't sound like a 50+ win lineup to me. This front line will not be able to protect the basket, and the loss of Beasley is a big blow to bench scoring. A much better decision by Kahn would have been to simply take a player at 18.

McHale say's Buddinger is a real talent and will fit in with the Wolves. Who can argue with that just look at all the wins, and success McHale had when he was with the Wolves both onthe bench and upstairs the man is a basketball genius!!!!!!

Why is Bill Smith still with the Twins? He drives the team into the tank, and they re-hire him?!?!
