DOES THIS MEAN THE WOLVES CAN NEGOTIATE WITH BEASLEY AND RANDOLPH EQUALLY WITH ALL TEAMS? MY FATHER IN LAW SAID THE TWINS SHOULD SIGN YAZSTREMSKI. I SAID HE PROBABLY IS IN A WHEEL CHAIR BY NOW. HE SAID "I STILL LIKE HIM". I SAID HE WON'T BE AVAILABLE BECAUSE THE WOLVES WILL SIGN HIM FIRST. BRING BEASLEY AND RANDOLF BACK, TRADE WEBSTER AND JOHNSON AND DARKO AND THE OLD GUY AND STOP THIS UNCOLORFUL MERRY GO ROUND.

The reality is that Beasley will probably sign with the Lakers for vet mid- level and be teamed up with Derrick Williams when he is traded to the Lakers for Gasol and the Lakers will have a young talented front line of Williams, Beasley, and Bynum with former Wolf Ramon Seessions at the point. The Lakers will be first or second in the Western Conference while a Gasol lead Wolf team will be middle of the Western pack. Beasley has been inconsistent - yes, how many 20 year olds come into the NBA and are consistent? If Beasley was 26 I'd say be done with him, but at 23, why not resign him for less and provide a consistent foundation for him. How can Adelman be tired of his act so fast, but not tired of Wes Johnson? I think the laid back persona and the tattoos give people the impression that Beasley doesn't care, but I think we will see how much he cares in the Purple and Gold, playing a James Worthy role for the Lakers. As long as he is not a cancer in the locker room, which everyone has said he has been a wonderful teammate, I think you take a KID like him and force the talent out of him unless you have someone better to replace him with. As for Randolph, if he simplifies his game he can become an all-star. He needs to be the shot blocking, rebounding machine the Wolves need and stop trying to bring the ball up court and shoot 20 footers. Negotiate for less and bring both back. Second thought, Beasley go to LA and help Kobe win a championship.

Basketball finance is broken beyond repair. Teams have been tied in knots with the peculiarities of the cap. Players are traded for no other reason than " freeing up cap space". High rookie contracts hamper patience with high potential, slow learners, and fans loose interest in the team because players on always on the move. I've lost a lot of for the game. My teams, the Knicks of the sixties and the Celtics of the seventies were teams held together and improved by adding great players.

I wish I could be "bought out" for $600K. Hell, I'd even take 500.

Beasley got 40+ points one night. Given his age, I would've held on to him.

The least the Wolves could've done is got their moneys' worth and played Beasley and Randolph EVERY night, good game or not. Difficult to develop consistency when the game minutes are sporadic and knowing when your going to play. While I do not possess the basketball acumen of Adelman or Kahn, why are they imploding a promising young team? What? To become "Rockets II"? If any players should be jettisoned it should be Barrea and Wes Johnson. These two players alone are responsible for the teams second half collapse, along with the injuries to Rubio and Love. The endless shots missed by Johnson and the ball hogging and momentum killing playing by J.J., that was terrible hoop. If we trade Derrick Williams....then I know this team is full of it when it says it wants to be in the hunt. They WERE in the hunt you idiots! This squad was right there with the NBA elites. Now this "minor" dismantling. Just doesn't make sense.
