We won't be hunting this fall and it's not because of low grouse numbers. We won't be hunting because Rep McNamara and Senator Ingrebrigsen decided to play roulette with the lives of our hunting dogs when they refused to hear the hunters and dog owners body grip trap bill and instead rubber stamped the MN Trappers Association bill. That bill did nothing to protect our dogs from dying in body grip traps set on the ground and baited with grouse feathers and guts. Search for SafeDogMN youtube videos and you'll see dogs shoving their heads into body grip boxes without hesitation.

I live in northern Mn. I won't dispute the facts or question the counts, but personally, I have sure seen a lot of grouse this year.
