Old remodeled store. It was not billed as a re-opening, remodeled store; which it is. Not a new Store. This is one of the 1st mega-stores that opened in the early 90's. Best Buy's customer service is always lacking. They try to sell you an extended warranty for nearly everything.

Nice Amazon showroom, wonder if it comes with some annoying kid following me constantly asking if I need help. Plus the name "Geek Squad solution central" rolls right off the tongue. Best Buy must still be stuck in the mid 2000s when it was hip with corporate types to call everything a "solution".

Solution Central is a lousy name. Kmart had an online store called Solutions in 1999 that failed badly.

My advice to Best Buy is to fix your biggest problem, PRICE! Why am i going to go to best buy to buy a HDMI cord for 40 dollars whe i can get the same cord online at the same quality for 5 dollars? Best buy is suffering from what all corporations are suffering from, a reality check. They are more worried about profit than what is good for the country and the economy as a whole. Now they want to cater to the elite? I agree with the previous poster as well about the extended warranties, and the hounding you get at Best Buy when you enter the store. If i have questions, I like to be the one who ask's for help, not the other way around. The customer service you receive there can be bad at times, and to another point about Best Buy, they won't price match! The online retailers are winning because they cater to the needs of a better educated and tech savvy public than ever before. The various sites often have chat available for any questions you may have, and most of the returns are handled in a efficient manner. I believe the end doesn't have to be here for Best Buy if they would just wake up and smell the coffee like so many other companies need to realize. I wish them luck, but they may figure it out after it's too late like so many other companies do in this changed market.

They tried something similar once before and it failed. The Best Buy concept is not high end.

Sullytool makes a good point concerning 40 dollar HDMI cords that can be bought on the net for 5 dollars. However BB is not running a nonprofit and BB should be focused on profit. It is ridiculous to think that BB should do what is best for anyone other than their stakeholders not what is best for the country. Let's get real. Window shopping BB just to purchase through the internet hurts this country by individuals not paying state and local sales taxes. I agree that Best Buys needs to reinvent how it does business and the way to do this is to live up to its name and be the Best Buy vs. its competitors

Instead of demanding that internet sellers pay sales tax why don't you place the blame squarely where it lies - sales taxes are too high. Lower the sales tax to make it fair.

billiebob...you've just outlined the biggest issue that BB has...it is more concerned about its stakeholders than its customers...

Looks like you don't know that the shareholders are the people that own this company and deserve a fair return on their investment.
