For U.S. Citizens: For those of us already grappling with 30% per year price increases, year after year, we can no longer consider dropping the coverage. We have no option but to pay whatever the insurance companies demand, or pay a big tax to the government. Premiums that are already unaffordable will go higher faster, due to the provisions to cover anyone and everyone without consideration of their well-being. This is a new transfer of wealth from the middle class to the insurance companies, and their new partners, the federal government and from the healthy to the unhealthy.
