All of those politicians get government health care paid by the tax payer. If the public health insurance is so great, give up YOUR government health insurance, politicians!
Sorry Chip, this isn't government heathcare except for the medicaid expansion for the poorest of us. It is the largest expansion of private health insurance in our history. Government is only involved in setting up a common market place where individuals and small business can be part of a large group and get large group rates. As for paying a tax, if you don't have health insurance and end up in an emergency room, taxpayers are forced to pick up the cost. It is only right that you should have to pay a tax to reimburse the rest of us for that cost. NO FREE RIDERS!!!
largest expansion of entitlement spending since wellfare was invented.
You Obama supporters;
When your premiums increase drmatically, remember; This has nothing to do with Bush, Reagan, or any Republicans.
You have Obama, Biden, Pelosi, and Reid to thank.
Changeitup: Please explain my healthcare increases of over 10% almost every year for the last 15 years. And years when it didn't go up they increased co-pays or created something call co-insurance.
One the greatest bill ever passed for the middle class.
Starting in 2014 people will be free to leave corporate jobs and start businesses of their own knowing that they can secure health care. This might turn out to be a wonderful boost to entrepreneurship.
schnitzelman - please explain your logic? healthcare is already there. so how can they not get it? how does this law help create jobs? it will destroy jobs by the 21 tax increases on medical products. which will be in premium increases for everyone.
Obamacare will force Americans to pour money into insurance companies and government tax coffers. Health care quality will decrease due to the sudden increase in the demand for care, administrative costs will rise above the current level of 40%, and access to care will improve only slightly for the poor, while becoming more difficult for the middle class.
Without massive tax increases the government system will collapse by 2020 and, combined with inevitable increases in private insurance prices, the entire health system may collapse at the same time. If it doesn't - that is, if enough money is diverted to it to sustain the system - the rest of the economy will suffer enormous damage.
Obamacare wil eventually be seen as the most destructive government scheme ever foisted upon the American public, and will ultimately yield a substantial decrease in the health and, indeed, the entire standard of living, of all Americans except the very rich and the very poor.
