Welcome to the Middle Ages. All the wealth and influence in the fewest hands possible. Certainly not why the American Revolution was fought. The people with the most influence and power then were Tories who were firmly against average people having the opportunity a real democracy should give them. Kind of like union busting.

Actually, Lakeliver, at first glance I perceived the "checkwriter" in the cartoon to be a union boss.

The fact that unions were outspent by at least a 4-1 ratio in the 2010 election is another fact that apparently escaped your limited attention.

I'm sick of the buying of politicians period! Whether or not the person depicted in the cartoon is a rich person or a union boss is beside the point to me I don't like it. That being said when I see the plundering of unions through political influence my money is on the buyer being a rich man buying GOP influence to reduce union power.
