"Wolves General Manager David Kahn has taken some deserved criticism for the drafting of Jonny Flynn and Wes Johnson and even selecting Derrick Williams last year over DeMarcus Cousins..." It was Wes Johnson drafted instead of DeMarcus Cousins. Cousins has been solid, but a headcase, in Sacramento. Pretty much what everyone thought. You can't bleame Kahn for passing on him. At the moment, it looks like Greg Monroe would have been the player to select instead of Johnson.

Buddinger is from San Diego, not LA, and was the best player seen in San Diego since Bill Walton. You will love the way he plays.

we still need a shooting guard who can knock it down and defend the perimiter. Wolves have added yet another small forward who can play some at the sg against certain match ups. While Budinger isnt the full time answer at that spot, at least he is athletic enough to get open and hit the three. Out of more than a half dozen #1s Khan has Got one starter,, Rubio.. not much to write home about.

I don't get this one. Love and Williams are the future of the forward positions for the Wolves. Beasley would/could be a great 6th man. Wes Johnson can warm the bench and play mop up. The needs are SG and C. Why another forward with moderate numbers? Unless they really felt the 18th pick couldn't get them anything decent, why? Someone explain this.

I might die of old age before we have a shooting guard who can actually SHOOT.....I'm 42.

How embarrassing... The Vikings have 5 players from Notre Dame on their roster and Notre Dame is probably at it lowest point in the history of its football program for producing wins and talent.

But can he play good solid defense.I have heard this is one of the reasons he did get consistent time on the court in Houston.

That was a classy move by the Morneau family.

Touche "nowilffare1", your comment definitely brought a chuckle from this avid "sage" reader. What you must understand is that as long as Mr Hartman writes a commentary here at the Star Tribune, anyone who attended or graduated from Notre Dame will be considered ordained and touched, just by using the hallowed halls once ruled by Sid's man/boy obsession, Lou Holtz.
